About this website
This website provides corporate information, Field Notes signup, and, when available, digital purchases through Stripe guest checkout. It does not currently offer customer accounts. The practices described here apply to this website; each portfolio product has its own privacy policy.
Digital purchases and private downloads
Stripe processes payment details. We retain purchase email, order and payment references, amount, product, edition, license, payment status, and access history to fulfill purchases, handle support, and maintain business records. We do not store card details. Purchase emails are used for delivery and access verification, not newsletter enrollment.
We record download attempts, including denied attempts, with request time, order and file references, outcome, intended response size, IP address when provided by trusted hosting infrastructure, browser user agent, language, and browser client hints. We derive a hashed browser metadata fingerprint to compare requests and investigate misuse. This signal may change or be shared by different people; it does not verify identity. We do not use canvas or font probing or third-party trackers for this purpose. Detailed download records are retained for 90 days by default, separately from purchase records.
Private access links and essential HttpOnly cookies let you access your order without an account. Verification links go only to the original purchase email. A future account-linking process will require verified ownership; matching an email alone does not grant access. Private order pages and download credentials are excluded from website analytics.
Website requests and hosting
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include IP addresses, requested URLs, browser or device information, request times, and security or error information. We and our service providers may use this information to maintain availability, diagnose problems, and prevent misuse.
Analytics, cookies, and local storage
We use Vercel Analytics on the deployed website for aggregate traffic and Field Systems interactions, such as starting the quiz and showing a result. Quiz analytics do not include email addresses or your full answers. Infrastructure providers may process request or security information as described above.
Field Notes signup
When signup is open and you explicitly opt in, we save your email, dated consent, signup source, campaign attribution, and the gate tag from your quiz result. Quiz answers are used to calculate that tag; full answers are not stored with your signup. The result is available before signup.
We send the signup request to Persistent Signal, our media platform, for Field Notes only. A confirmation is required before a subscription starts. Persistent Signal manages subscription preferences, unsubscribe requests, and delivery suppression. Your signup does not enroll you in other portfolio publications. Contact us for access, correction, or deletion requests concerning your signup evidence.
Optional support chat
Our separate support page loads the self-hosted Chatwoot service at support.sitekick.ai only when you choose to open chat. ProInstincts Enterprises operates this service. It processes your messages, contact details you choose to provide, technical connection information, and chat session cookies to provide support. We do not automatically send signed-in identity or workspace content. Please share only information needed for your inquiry.
Email inquiries
Contact links open your email application. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, and message. We use it to respond, evaluate the inquiry, and maintain relevant business correspondence. Please share only information needed for your inquiry.
Service providers and disclosures
We use hosting and email service providers to operate the website and respond to inquiries. We may disclose information when necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect rights and security, or work with professional advisers on a relevant business matter. We do not sell personal information collected through this website.
Retention and privacy requests
We retain business correspondence as needed for the inquiry, ongoing business relationships, and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Technical data retention depends on the hosting service and operational needs. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided. We will consider your request under applicable law and may need to verify your identity.
